Since I had gone all out on my bird cake topper I had to do something special for my groom. This topper was perfect for the Groom's cake because we did a lot of fishing together the first few years after we met. He would always set up my pole and whenever he asked what lure I wanted to use I would say "the wedding ring." The night he bought my ring he told me he was at Ace Hardware getting fishing stuff. My little great nephews especially loved this cake, not only because of the fishing theme, but for the candy rocks that lined the edge of it!
